I must shop!

And I want to shop in France, but I can’t go right now. No snail festivals, no perfectly-fitted lingerie, not even a scrap of lace or a tiny lip gloss. So, the wonderful world of virtual shopping opens up – or so I thought. I desperately want to go to Colette, at 213 rue Saint-Honore. I checked the maps and found it just off the Rue de Rivoli by the Jardin des Tuileries. This is a bad place for a budget, but a great neighborhood for fantasies of refined luxury and utter frivolity. Colette features the absolute last word in high end fashions, accessories, and the like – or so everyone tells me. It even has a water bar, so fashionistas can stay thin and hydrated on designer water. And they’re on-line as well. So, I thought I would check it out and report back. Alas, the August vacation started a little early this year and even the website is closed for a while.

Still, check it out – the website is amusing, animated, and musical. Set up your account and be ready! Galaxy-class shopping requires forethought.
