What to do in Paris the Saturday before Christmas?

I mean, besides the obvious: eat, drink, windowshop, gawk at lights and decorations, drink the African chocolate at Angelina’s (formerly Rumpelmayer’s and possibly the best hot chocolate you will ever drink).

How about something lively and a little less traditional? Something like the annual party and celebration at Mains d’Oeuvres, celebrating the survival of the artist. It’s one day only: Saturday, December 20th. The event is supposed to be huge, about 4,000 square meters of art: performance art, video projection, concerts, and whatever else teams of artists can dream up and make happen. It’s free before 22h (10:00 p.m., right?) and 5 euro (with flier) or 10 euro (without flier) thereafter.

Mains d’Oeuvres is located at: 1, rue Charles Garnier, 93400 Saint Ouen. Metro 13 (Garibaldi) or 4 (Porte de Clignancourt).

A little art with your holidays!
