Last Chance to See - Grand Palais, Video Installation

Quickly, quickly, go see “Dans la Nuit, des Images”, a huge 130-screen video installation at the Grand Palais in Paris. It features videos and films from filmmakers and videographers as diverse as Hanna and Barbera (remember The Flintstones? Jetsons? Yogi Bear?), the world’s oldest still-active filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira (100 years old), and others such as Robert Wilson, Bill Viola, Chris Marker, and Rosemary Trockel. I would love to see the 1956 film, “Broadway by Light”, featuring the pre-Sex and the City Times Square. There is also a digital landscape with millions of numbers on a huge screen. You can stand in front of it and be part of the art.

The good news: it’s free!
The bad news: it closes December 31 at 9 p.m.
