Food Exhibit and Tasting in Paris - Salon de l'Agriculture

Let’s celebrate Spring on the Farm and enjoy the cornucopia of delights that is France at its best. Remember, even Shakespeare agreed: “this best garden of the world/Our fertile France . . . “ (Henry V).

This event sounds like a State or County Fair, but quelle difference! There are over 1,000 exhibiters and 700 producers, all French. Instead of funnel cakes and corn dogs, stand by for free wine, cheese, meats, and foie gras samples. The farming exhibit sounds magnificent: 4,500 farm animals and a full-scale working farm. You can tour an aquarium, dog house, pony village, and even a pig village. Remember, pigs are very smart and, given enough space, quite clean. The whole wallowing thing is actually an attempt at sunblock. May I suggest 55 SPF with aloe vera in the 5 gallon tub in lieu of mud?
