Romantic British Poet at Petit Palais

For a break from urban life, while staying in the heart of Paris, try the Petit Palais. It’s a small, elegant, trapezoid built for the 1900 World’s Fair. In other words, by French standards, brand-new. The museum is built around a semi-circular interior garden and is famed for the humanity of its scale. Other good news: it’s free from Tuesday – Sunday, at least for the permanent collections.

This Spring, there is a special exhibit on William Blake, the visionary English poet (Remember, “Tiger, Tiger burning bright”?) For a video clip and tour of the exhibit, go to:

Spring, in Paris, in a Beaux Arts building, with a mediterranean garden, restaurant, and poetry – bliss.
