Let’s say you’re in Paris and you’ve been diligently seeking authentic French experiences, trying to speak French to the best of your ability, eat French, and think French, but you’ve gotten just a wee bit homesick. You need a little respite from the noble effort of stretching your cultural boundaries (and I know just how that feels. I love France and the French and the French language, but I get homesick too.) Now, Halloween is coming and you’d like a taste of home.
Well, I, Sabrina, can help. The French understand and have a special event that brings it all home: The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Studio Galande at 42 rue Galande, 75005 Paris is holding classic Rocky Horror events on Friday and Saturday, each showing at 10:00 p.m. Two casts will re-enact the show while the movie is playing. Everyone is strongly encouraged to come in costume and bring rice (for Brad and June’s wedding) and other props. Audience participation is eagerly welcomed! The cost is a mere 7,80 euros – a bargain for hours of fun – from the planning and preparation, creating the costume, planning the props, rehearsing your favorite lines, and finally the night itself. It’s one great way to spend Halloween in Paris.
